There are a lot questions arises between these two giant Programming Languages, which is the most popular and which is easy to use and to deploy? You considered also, the costs...which is less and which is more? HERE IS ONE OF THE SCENARIO HAPPENS TO ME, THINK ABOUT THIS SCENARIO. OKAY, you are a freelance programmer/developer and somebody called you to create a program for them, with limited resources, for some situations, they have only two as in (2) computers in their office and they want you to build a system for them, let say invoicing system, the company is 2 years old and sales is getting high monthly, they are tired enough in creating the invoice in Excel sheets, the invoicing sheets are getting bigger and bigger. Unfortunately, they don't have any forms, they relied on automatic number based on Company Name Invoice Date, Current Month and a serial number. Say for example, ABC211009-0001, ABC211009-0002 and os on....the user creating this INVOICE NUMBER by copying the previous excel sheets, then saving it. and print the invoice in A4 Size bond paper, they are subjected to do this as they are in cost-saving stages, they are doing this for almost 2 years...fortunately, they have internet connection and planning to post their invoices to their specific cilents. they are doing this by converting the excel sheets into Acrobat format and send it to specific client via e-mail, that's why they want you to build a semi web database for invoicing and output them in professional acrobat files for specific clients, say for example, they want you to create a link that enable them to download the invoice. This is an straight forward scenario! in such a way that it will saved a lot of money for the company, you dont need a messenger to deliver the invoice...you don't even need the FEDEX/DHL to deliver your invoice...the company will saved a lot of money! Now, the owner of the company called you (ASP.Net Developer using VB or C Sharp) and somebody (PHP/MySQL). First, the owner of the company called you because they saw your ads in internet that you are doing a lot of programs in ASP.Net in a reasonable price and they explained everything to you(above scenario), every scenario and they want you to defend or rather explain what IDEA do you have for them in order to create such goals... Second, they called PHP/MySQL Developer, they explained them also every scenario and seems to you that PHP/MySQL Developer is winning the bids. You as a Freelance ASP.Net Developer / VB.Net Developer, what are you going to do? In order to win the BIDS? ======================================================================== This is a challenge to me, in fact, I should ignore the project, I am busy with my current projects, but I was thinking this a prestige...this is a trophy, this is a challenge, forget about the money..but this is a challenge and I must win. I was thinking that, once i created a program for them, then they will referred me to their clients in future time, you know what I mean... Now, as ASP.Net Developer / VB.Net enthusiast, what are you going to do in order to win the bidding? NOTE: Ignore this article if you are not interested, or post your reply, this event actually happened to me, but I will not tell you what I did...but this is also a points to remember specially for the new comer in the world of freelance programming...I will not tell you what language that I used...but will tell you that the system is working like a charm...
