Library Management System using Django in Python

This project is entitled Library Management System. This is a web-based application developed in Python and Django Framework. This simple python project manages the School Library's Borrowing Transaction. It provides an online and automated platform for the management to store and retrieve the books and borrowing records efficiently and effectively. The project was developed also using the Bootstrap Framework for the user interface and jQuery to give end-user a better experience while using the application. It also consists of user-friendly features and functionalities.

About the Library Management System

I developed this project using the following:

  • Python
  • Django
  • SQLite3
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript
  • jQuery
  • Ajax
  • Fontawesome
  • Bootstrap v5

This Library Management System Project can be accessed only by the Library Management. It requires the librarian or staff to log in with their system credential in order to gain access to the features and functionalities of the said system. The users can store and list the Book Category, Book Sub Category, Book, Student, and Transaction Records. The project consists of CRUD (Create, Read, Update, and Delete) operations in each list or record. Here, library staff or librarians can easily store the borrowing transaction of each student.

The main goal of this Library Management System in Python Django is to give the new programmers a source code to refer to or to start with that are planning to develop such like this system. This might help you to understand or you might get an idea of the processes or simple techniques for developing a library system of any related projects using Django Framework of Python.
