This is a Simple PHP Project entitled Simple Onlne Public Access Catalog (OPAC). This is a web-based application that manages a certain school or university's library database of the materials or books in the library. The application provides the student or faculties an online platform where they can browse or search the book they are needed. This has a simple user interface/design using the Bootstrap v5 (a CSS Framework) and has user-friendly functionalities. This may help new PHP Programmers especially the students to widen their knowledge in creating a web application using PHP/OOP and SQLite3 as the database.
I developed this project using the following:
This simple OPAC Web Application has 2 sides of the user interface which are the Admin Side of the Library Management Side and the User Side (Faculty and Student). The Admin Side is the side of the system where the library management stores the list of materials, books, researches, etc. held in the library. Admin users are in charge of managing the important list in the system such as the category and the sub-category list. The users or Faculty/Students can search the books they need using the application to check if it is available in the library and also to know some details of the material or book. The users can also list the book they needed into their cart and submit a borrowing request to the management. The management is the one who can validate the borrowing requests of the faculty and student.
php.inifile and uncomment the sqlite3 and gd extension. Then, save the file.
That's it! You can now explore the features and functionalities of this Simple Onlne Public Access Catalog (OPAC) project in PHP and SQLite Database. I hope this will help you with what you are looking for and you'll find something useful for your future PHP Projects.
