How to setup Web Based Quiz System in PHP/MySQLi with Full Source Code

  1. Download the zip file.
  2. Download and install XAMPP
  3. Run the XAMPP control panel and start MySQL and Apache
  4. Go to C:\xampp\htdocs and extract the downloaded zip file (onlinequiz) inside the folder
  5. Open the browser and go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin/ to create the database
  6. Click the new to create a database.
  7. Name the database sourcecodester_exam
  8. Click import to import the sql file.
  9. Click choose file and select the file that can be found inside the onlinequiz folder
  10. Click go.

Accessing admin accounts

Open the browser and go to http://localhost/onlinequiz/admin.php

Password: admin

Accessing cashier accounts

Open the browser and go to http://localhost/onlinequiz/

Looks like the problem was with the MySQL server. After downloading and installing XAMPP, which also installed a version of VC ++, I managed, after a few attempts and a lot of attention, to make it run correctly. Later I managed the same result on USBWebserver under PHP 7. It seems that it was about the version of VC ++ that was not installed, was not installed correctly or did not work correctly. Difficult to diagnose and configure, but after many attempts, searches on Google and Stack Overflow, I managed to make it work properly.
