Using RFID in VB6

Im back again this time i will show how to use RFID Reader in VB6 Currently im developing Loadable E-Pass System for a confidential client and i want to share some of of codes regarding RFID and VB6. These is pretty straight forward i used MSCOMM (serial library in .NET) component in order to read /write buffer connected to PC's serial/usb port. This is done by using the oncomm() event in order to read all the buffers send by the RFID interface without using the timer control. gud day! we had already RFID device with cards..and we have a sample program that it could connect to a device..in other computers it could display the status of the device and the data of the cards which is the serial number. but the in our computer, it cannot display anymore the status and the data of the device once the card was tagged in the device..what we will do in our computer? give us some solutions for this matter. please help me..tnx

Currently po we are 4th year students working on our pre grad thesis project po. We are developing a security sytem using RFID. Wla pa po kaming reader pero ung emulator na ginagamit po namin is ung Rifidi emulator. The language that we are using for the project is VB6. We based our codes on the MsComm on the sample file you provided on the link. Problem is when we run it an error occurs. ang sabi nya "port not open" Anu po sir ung problem?

I m Adil, i m doing my final year project on RFID application in which i have to integrate a excel or access database with RFID through dB9 serial port using RS232, i need any sample program to run it on my rfid Module , the program contain VB code for accessing serial port and excel or access sheet accepting RFID hexadecimal tag and save that excel or access data sheet in my computer. i m waiting for links or zip files .. thanks

first you need to read the incoming data from RFID ,to do this you can use Serial Port class or Mscomm control. Data ( Green ) to pin 2 Ground ( Black ) to pin 5 and negative terminal of power source Power ( Red ) to 12V DC positive terminal of power source Hyperterminal Settings ------------------------- Bits per second: 9600 Data bits: 8 Parity: None Stop bits: 1 Flow COntrol: Hardware

sir, how can i program this using VB language? I'm not yet familiar with MSCOMM in MS Visual Studio 2008. I've tried to download MSCOMM, however, it is not yet properly installed in Windows Vista/XP. What can I do about this problem? Thanks a lot, sir!
