One of the most challenging thing that developers may encounter is building AR, VR, and 3D applications in Amazon cloud. To build one, a developer must master coding and design through a year-long experience in the field. Recently, a good news for those who are on the task of building an AR, VR, or 3D apps in Amazon's cloud has crossed the surface. The technological giant now offers a new service that would make its development done in just a "few hours" through the Amazon Sumerian. Based on Ryan Daw's article on Developer, Sumerian is a "low-code tool" that provides a point-and-click interface that is helpful in building an AR, VR, or a 3D app in Amazon cloud. It supports FBX and OBJ. It also provides scripting support through the JavaScript library. This tool can be utilized with Amazon Lex, Amazon Polly, and AWS Lambda which paves the way for other services offered by Amazon. The Amazon Sumerian also comes with a library of templates and assets. Meanwhile, a developer has the choice to upload their own preferred library should he wish. According to Amazon Vice President of Technology Marco Argenti, the Amazon Sumerian would help make it possible for developers to achieve AR or VR application building in just a "few hours". The works done through this tool is supported on different platforms including iOS devices, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift. It is also eyed to support Android and ARCore soon.
