How to Ask Question

I am observing daily how this website grows from zero visitors to 45,000+ visitors a month. How I wish I could help you more with your problem in your programming question. In behalf of this, there are so many students who don’t even know what they are asking. I suppose to write a detailed explanation on this topic. But due to the increase of shocking inquiry from my visitors I write this to quickly teach those who do not know how to ask question the smart way.

Think about this, if you’re going to ask question regarding your assignment, thesis, or the like and assuming that there would be “somebody” like me or other programmer who will do this for you then you are wrong. Unless otherwise, that what you are looking for, already exist.

Every successful programmer runs the same problem. They started from nothing. Yet they get what they want because they are eager to learn. Learning by doing is the most important factor a computer programmer must have. They do not just rely on the work of other people. You may download what you can see here but it’s your job to study every line of code.

I am wondering how bad a student who just wishes to receive their assignment with no effort. Do you think this will help you in the long run? No! Instead this will put you down.

My Advice

So how do you ask question the smart way?

When asking question say something like “Anyone knows where I can find a good sample program like blah blah blah?” Contrary to this do not say “I need blah blah blah ASAP, can you mail the source code at [email protected]?”

Another thing is a website like sourcecodester.com will only assist those who ask real question. Something like you encounter certain problem while you study the source code. A good example is you cannot execute your program because of errors.

It is not bad to ask question, but when you ask, ask it the smart way.

If you edit the form there is a default value for judge textbox. In my example it has a value of 3. Meaning judge # 3 is using that program. If you set up another computer give a default value like 1 for judge # 1, 2 for judge # 2, etc. >> Are the computers, need to be in network to all 6 workstations? You do not need to setup 6 workstation just to rate contestant. Since the program will based on the value on the judge textbox. But of course since the judges has its own table you must to...
