I am looking for someone to create a simple inventory system for Pocket PC using the Quick Mark Scanner Software to scan the barcode instead of having to type it in. This is for my wife for her pantry.
This is how I envision the program working by connecting to a excel or access data base so it can be viewed on a windows computer
- 2 options to start with.
- Show Inventory
- List inventorys (pantry, fridge, freezer, ,all, etc...)
- Click inventory category and it displays everything in that category with quantities.
- Click on an specfic item (like Green Beans)
- This goes to Item Input Screen
- List inventorys (pantry, fridge, freezer, ,all, etc...)
- Item Scan
- Scan 1D & 2D barcode items using Quick Mark Advanced
(go to http://www.quickmark.cn/En/basic/downloadDev.asp for info on how to connect to the Quick Mark Advanced program -Code already written) - After barcode is scanned then show the following options
- Add new item to inventory
- Subtract ___ quanity of item from inventory
- Add ____ quanity of item from inventory
- Update Item in inventory - Shows Item Input Screen with scanned item loaded in it.
- Scan 1D & 2D barcode items using Quick Mark Advanced
- Show Inventory
Item Input Screen
(Item info needed in inventory database that is shown when selected and editable.)
- Item name (Milk, Rice, etc...)
- Inventory list it is part of (frezzer, pantry, fridge, etc)
- Barcode(s) for this item (can of green beans from multiple stores)
- Quanity in inventory
- + and - button
(to add or subract item quanity so you don't have to scan each item in if more than one is purchached or used.)- 3 Store purchased from fields and field for price for each store.
This is the basics of what I am looking for.
Is there anyone out there that thinks they might be able to write such a program that will run on a Windows Mobile 6 phone. I have a HTC Touch Pro (it has a VGA Screen).
Please let me know if you can create this. I am willing to pay for this to be created.
Thanks,
Nick
