Homeless Leo Grand Launches Eco-Friendly Mobile App

Without any formal education about computer programming, Leo Grand never give up on learning new things despite of the impossibilities. As Leo Grand lives in the street of New York City, a stranger approached him and offered a choice between two months of coding lessons or $100 cash. Without any hesitation, 37-year-old Leo Grand chose for lessons as well as the 3, 621 lines of code. After he made up his decision, Leo Grand successfully launched his first mobile app which is an environmentally conscious carpool organizer known as "Trees for Cars." The teacher who taught Leo Grand is Patrick McConlogue- a progmmer. In an interview with Mashable during the launching, Leo Grand said "this is going to change my life in magnificent way." On the other hand, 23-year-old McConlogue didn't thought that for two months within 1 hour in a day, they able to consumed three and a half months for them to pursue what they've started. McConlogue said, "it is by far the most rewarding experience of his life." On the Month of August 26, Leo Grand was given a Chromebook laptop and books he needed for the lessons. The lesson was conducted on the city beaches near Chelsea Piers within two months, and that is also the place to where Grand always sleeps. Leo's Grand determination and hard work helped him to reach his unexpected dreams and goals in life, and even if he has only limited source and facilities, still he manage it through his own way. Leo Grand and Patrick McConlogue has a few days left before the two of them attain their goal of launching a mobile app, but because of their perseverance, both of them reached the end of their journey. On the Month of October, Leo Grand and McConlogue received a good news from the boss of McConlogue, John Katzman known as Princeton review founder. The two of them decided to finish their lessons in the City of New York Office in the new educational search engine company Noodle of Katzman. In behalf of the difficulty, Katzman allowed McConlogue to be with Leo Grand to help finish the app for more than five weeks. McConlogue is very grateful and thankful for his boss because of the support and opportunity that he gave for him and Leo Grand. According to Leo Grand he started to make search for the next iteration of his app called as "Trees for Cars II." As part of Leo's Grand aspiration even if he has to pass applications, still he wanted to work as a computer programmer. Leo Grand said "My first application will be at Google, it's right up the block." "There are more than 150 programmers around the world which signed up spending an hour each day for two months teaching others how to code, though he hasn't yet figured out how to organize the effort," McConlogue said. Leo Grand and McConlogue were now famous on social media sites including on NBC, and CNN to where they were featured because of their "Eco-Friendly Mobile Apps." After Leo's Grand achievement, still he preferred to sleep on the street, but with the help of his new app and potentials he believed that someday it will going to change his life.
