Xilisoft Video Converter is a very easy, very fast video conversion program, capable of converting to and from all popular HD and SD formats. The application is capable of some basic editing, like add special effects and filters, merge/split clips, add text/graphic watermark and subtitles.

An interesting and usefull option is for the program to use multiple cores, if you have a modern multi-core processor, for faster conversion of videos. The program displays a separate graph for each core and the CPU load in the main window.

Pros:

• You can convert each separate video from original batch list to a different format.
• For fastest video conversion, program can use all cores from a modern multicore processor.
• Program is capable of applying hardcoded subtitles to videos.
• you can cut an original video into smaller parts, using the built-in function.

• Program cam join together multiple input files - select several files from the batch list, then press the Merge button.
• Large list of special effects available to add to the processed files.

Cons:

Program cannot detect the subtitle automatically, even if it has the same name as the video file, user has to browse for the subtitle file.
Application cannot convert to modern popular MKV container.
