hi, before im a part of a team developing a application for PABX from Fujitsu for monitoring local/international call, billing ,PIN, NDD/IDD for handling huge Telephone transactions.
If you want to develop a application like this you must have the PABX hardware which is very expensive, and connect it to the serial port then you can decode(column oriented) the telephone calls to notepad and extract it to the database.
if you want to monitor small office you can use TAPI,to start ...
