connecting to remote database from windows mobile application on the .net framework

hallo,am making a program with vb.net that will enable me create an application to run on the windows mobile platform and submit the information onto a remote database installed in a computer.

problem is that i dont know how i will connect my application to send and receive data to the remote database.

il appreciate any assistance
